Ruby is a red poodle, born March 30, 2020, and weighing just 11 pounds. She was originally given to a woman who already had another dog, but Ruby was very shy and didn’t adjust well in that home. Since coming to us, she was quiet for a few days, but has since blossomed into a sweet and loving little companion.
Ruby is devoted to her person and wants to be by their side as much as possible. She’s a true lap dog who loves to snuggle and even prefers to sleep in bed with you. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, though she doesn’t appreciate sharing her food bowl while she’s eating.
Ruby has been diagnosed with a grade 3 heart murmur. She is showing no symptoms, and the vet has not recommended any medication at this time—just an annual recheck to monitor her condition.
