his little Yorkie is Diesel. (DOB 2012). He’s approximately 8 lbs. Diesel’s owner lost her place to live and had to surrender him. His mouth was so infected and painful when he came in, he could hardly stand to be touched. The vet pulled 27 teeth. He only has 5 teeth left but, boy, does he feel better. After he healed we had him neutered and that vet saw a growth on his upper right gum. The vet surgeon said that the biopsy shows it is a cancer that will remain local so it will not spread anywhere else. The surgeon said that surgery to remove the growth only has 50% chance of working. Only time will tell if this growth will remain the same or grow. Rather than put this little boy through that, we want to find him a home as is. He is happy and healthy and feeling good. So, if you can provide this little guy a loving place, please apply. Diesel likes to chase the cat which is bigger than he is. We are requiring an at-home person or another dog in the home. If you are interested in adopting Diesel, please fill out an application at https://www.floridacocker.org/adoptions. For more information, please call 813-245-1833. Potential adopters must have a verifiable veterinary history and should be willing to travel to the Tampa area for adoption once approved. Only approved applicants will be contacted. This post will be removed once Diesel is placed.
