Whitley is a beautiful 2-year-old English Cocker Spaniel girl who is still learning about the world and needs a little time to feel safe. She was lovingly cared for by a kind couple who hoped she would be a companion for their dog, but Whitley had other plans—she formed a deep attachment to the husband and wasn’t interested in being a friend to the family dog. Knowing her needs, they asked us to help her find a home that’s a better fit for her sweet but selective personality.
Once Whitley warms up, she becomes devoted to her person. She needs to be handled gently and given the space and patience to build trust, but she has so much love to give to someone who understands her. Whitley will thrive in a quiet home where she can be the only dog and the center of someone’s world.
